This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hey everyone! I cannot express my current contentment with life right now. I found a subleaser for my old apartment and now I'm currently residing in my brand new place! I just moved in on Sunday so I haven't gotten fully settled in but I THROUGHLY look forward to living here. I love it and I love my job and just... YAY LIFE!
My only problem is some money issues, I'm cutting it REALLY close for bills and rent. Which brings me to my next piece of news.
I'm considering doing commissions but, taking in the fact that most of my viewers are deadly silent I have no clue if anyone would even be interested. I think I may set up a poll and try to see what interest would be. But please respond if you are interested, it would be great if I could get some help with rent
I'm thinking it would just be sketches....MAYBE line art...who knows maybe even full color, I'm just not sure yet what pricing would be so if your interested please leave a comment and tell what you think I should offer and how much my prices should be. I was thinking ten dollar sketches? Something like that. Anyway, let me know!
Also...
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 15,000 VIEWS!! I am flattered, I know haven't been posting JACK CRAP, but its summer now, so hopefully some artsy things will be rolling your way.
Speaking of artsy things, well I've kinda started yet another project, a story on Fiction Press, if you want, you can check out the first chapter and drop me a review! [link] Its really rough, but I just want to see what the response is.
Oh hi there, oh so noble defender of deivantART. I'm just replying to the message you sent me in regards to my post on that craooy Twilight piece. (The artist obviously couldn't take the smallest bit of criticism)
You said: Alright, I'm going to get to you first before the rabid fan girls do, and explain to you gently and calmly why your comment is not appropriate.
First of all, yes you are entirely entitled to your opinion, I'm not trying to trump that. So don't pull that card on me.
And now, I will give my own opinion.
Little trace of anatomy? That's pretty ridiculous, why'll her anatomy is not spot on, she defiantly has a grip on it. I hardly think 'little trace' is an appropriate description of her grasp of anatomy. So I'm sorry, but you are terribly wrong in my opinion, on that front.
Done in Five Minutes? Now I can't know if it was or was not for sure (and neither can you) but I place a safe bet that this didn't take just five minutes, note the detailed shading around her 'little trace' of anatomy, the details on the pants and in the hair and even facial hair. That kinda stuff isn't put into a five minute drawing, sorry.
Scrapped? No, not necessarily, the artist is the one who deems what is a scrap to them and what is not. So even if you think it should be, doesn't mean it has to be.
And as for being on the popular page, well let me tell you, art aside, I think her humor is incredibly hilarious (yes I'm a fan of Twilight, but not rabidly so) To me, her humor is more an art form than anything, she is so popular because she is quick, witty and creative and thinks up things that no one could have dreamed to point out or make fun of and her comedic timing in her drawings (mainly comics) is impeccable and comedic timing on paper is a hard thing to achieve. Hell, even her artist comments sometimes crack me up.
So, just because you have an aversion to something doesn't mean you need to come and cut down a perfectly good piece of work. And the same goes for the perfectly good artwork AGAINIST twilight or anything, and the rabid fan girls who attack the artist. It works both ways.
Me: HA! This is going to be fun: First off, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to engage me in discussion.
She may have a grip on the look of muscles, but there is much more to anatomy than that. The arms don't fall in the manor they do. It looks almost mechanical, and if she had anatomical education, she'd know how to go about doing it properly.
And as for the shitty poor shading: Judging on the size of this deviation, I'd say the shading took no less than a minute per character. I know because I do shading very similarly. And by "5 minutes" I wasn't being exact. I meant it looks like it was done quickly. And as far as the hair goes, I'm fairly certain the most detail there is would be a few scribles in the blond one's hair. Although I do agree that the jeans are well done.
Now for the scraps: I'm aware that the artist is the judge of that, but the artist should also look at the rest of her art once more. Some of it is really good. And I was saying scrap compared to her other works (which, in turn, is an accolade on it's own)
You raise a good point on the humor, and on that, have won an argument. But this joke makes no sense because I have read (the first five chapters. I found it to be crap as well so I couldn't finish it) of Twilight, and it describes them all as well-built. So does the movie. So why this comic is here is still a question to me.
And I only came by to express my opinion, which you even told me, I am entitled to. And I, by no stretch of the imagination, have torn this down. I gave an idea, and am now being reprimanded.
Please reply, as I do not see this as an argument, but more as a discussion.
Monday's child is fair of face. Tuesday's child is full of grace. Wednesday's child is loving and giving. Thursday's child works hard for a living, Friday's child fears no foe. Saturday's child has far to go. And the child born on Sunday is bonny and wise in every way.

Instead of counting candles, Or tallying the years, Contemplate your blessings, As your birthday nears.
Consider special people Who love you, and who care, And others whove enriched your life Just by being there.
Think about the memories Passing years can never mar, Experiences great and small That have made you who you are.
Another year is a happy gift, So cut your cake, and say, "Instead of counting birthdays, I count blessings every day!"
